Darth Vader

History

Darth Vader was my final cardboard action figure in the classic CardFigures line over 30 years ago. I used a great reference photo with all of the reflections on his helmet and armor which made him look more realistic.

The cape had more folds and creases by using a rounded pen and rolling the paper over it after it was sealed in clear contact paper. This allowed the cape to hold it’s shape but it could also fold and bend. An open hand allowed him to pose with his Force choke.

The red lightsaber suffered the same problem as Luke’s as it was too short. It could have used one more length to look more accurate.
